Wendy's Spicy Chicken Nuggets

Wendy's Spicy Chicken Nuggets
Ladies and Gentlemen, we have made a huge step forward here tonight. Once again we can utilize the dollar for our spicy chicken fix, as Wendy's has quietly and gracefully introduced 99 cent 5 piece chicken nuggets as a newcomer to their value menu.

Wendy's Spicy Chicken Nuggets
I'm not gonna lie to you, when we pulled up to Wendy's I yelled out, "WHAT?!" It seemed like only a few weeks ago I was in Wendy's with Brad, Josh and Matt having a chat about how they really needed to add some form of Spicy Chicken to the dollar menu. Thus my sudden outburst of shocked exclamation when we arrived, especially because I haven't heard one tiny bit of promotion of these ever existing. They come in at the awesome price of 99 cents for 5 pieces, which shocked me slightly, because correct me if i'm wrong but the regular 5 piece nugget cost is up somewhere around $1.29.

If you've ever had Wendy's chicken nuggets you know that the breading is probably about 50% of what makes up the nugget, with just a small piece of chicken in the middle. Now that I think about it, this is basically the fast food standard; only Chick-Fil-A knows how to properly make nuggets, which taking that into consideration does make these not as awesome in comparison. What does make it pretty great is that with all that extra breading, they somehow made it more spicy than the spicy chicken sandwich usually is, which if you're into a good amount of spice is absolutely perfect.

Besides that, there's not a whole lot different than you would expect from a Wendy's Chicken Nugget dipped in the spicy batter they use on the sandwiches. Although out of all the things released in the fast food world in this almost over year, I'd have to say that these are my favorite. At least until the Chick-Fil-A Spicy Chicken Sandwich gets released and inevitably finds its way over to the nuggets.

Delicious and much better than the regular nugget. I still like Chicken McNuggets more but this is really good anyways.

These nuggets are nasty! Processed meat and not anything like Wendys.

Don't know if the ones I got were overcooked. But they were dried out, had way more breading than the regular nuggets, and were uncomfortably chewy. Also a bit smaller than the regular ones.

they may be delicious, but holy hell are they painful on the way out. I think they're breaded with powdered glass and cayenne pepper

UGH I am so mad at my local Wendy's for not carrying the Spicy Crispy Chicken Nuggets anymore. :*( they are losing HUGE amounts of money from me!

I just got some at my local Wendy's not knowing that they are spicy now.....I just wanted chicken nuggets. I ate one and it just about killed me (I really hate spicy foods). I gave the rest to a co-worker. Waste of money. Why do they not mention this on the menu or when you order them? Not everyone likes spicy food.

You can still get the normal nuggets, you just have to specify.
